Therapy, Grief Counseling & End-of-Life Support in Bozeman, Montana
Compassionate support for life's difficult transitions.
Life can change in ways we never expect. Whether you're experiencing grief, navigating the challenges of aging, supporting someone you love, or preparing for the end of life, you don't have to navigate it alone.
Sunset Journey Therapeutic Services provides compassionate therapy, grief and bereavement counseling, and end-of-life doula support for individuals and families in Bozeman and throughout Montana.
Support for the Seasons of Life
Every person's journey is different. Sometimes we need a place to process a loss. Sometimes we need support adjusting to a new stage of life. And sometimes we need someone to walk alongside us through the end of life.
My work centers around meeting you where you are, listening without judgment, and providing thoughtful support for the season you're experiencing.
-

Grief & Bereavement
Grief doesn't follow a timeline. Counseling can provide a safe place to process the loss of someone you love, changes in your life, or the many forms of grief that can accompany aging and illness.
-

Therapy for Older Adults
Aging can bring changes in health, independence, relationships, identity, and daily life. Therapy can provide space to work through these transitions and find meaning and connection along the way.
-

Caregiver Support
Caring for someone else can be deeply meaningful—and incredibly difficult. Therapy offers caregivers a place to process stress, exhaustion, grief, changing family dynamics, and the emotional weight of caregiving.
-

End-of-Life Doula Care
End-of-life doula support provides compassionate, non-medical care for individuals and families before, during, and after the dying process. Together, we can create space for preparation, connection, meaningful conversations, and a more intentional end-of-life experience.

You Don't Have to Have It All Figured Out
There are times in life when there are no easy answers.
You may be grieving someone you love. You may be watching a parent or partner age and wondering how to support them. You may be facing a life-changing diagnosis or thinking about your own end-of-life wishes.
You don't need to know exactly what you need before reaching out.
Therapy and supportive care can offer a place to slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and move forward one step at a time.
A Compassionate, Person-Centered Approach
I believe good care begins with listening.
My approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and respect for your individual experiences, values, and goals. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all solution, I work with you to understand what matters most and determine what kind of support will be most helpful.
Whether we're working through grief, navigating aging and life transitions, supporting a caregiver, or preparing for the end of life, my goal is to create a space where you can be honest about what you're experiencing and feel supported along the way.
Meet Nichole
A therapist and end-of-life doula who believes every part of the journey deserves care.
I'm Nichole Regel Ruffatto, LCSW, and the person behind Sunset Journey Therapeutic Services.
As a fourth-generation Montanan, I understand the importance of community, connection, and showing up for one another through life's challenging seasons.
My work has developed around two things I believe deeply in: helping people navigate difficult transitions and creating space for conversations that are often hard to have.
As a licensed clinical social worker and end-of-life doula, I bring both professional experience and a deeply human approach to the work.
