My work as a therapist centers on helping clients make sense of their experiences, understand their mental and emotional health, and find ways to heal, adapt, and move forward, within the context of loss and the life still left to live. Loss takes many forms: the death of a loved one, loss of freedom or decline in physical or mental health, health diagnoses, anticipatory grief, complicated grief, miscarriage, or disenfranchised grief (loss of a friend or a pet).
My approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based practices.
Therapy may focus on:
Processing emotions such as sadness, anger, guilt, fear, or numbness
Adjusting to new or changing realities
Navigating changes in identity and relationships
Making meaning after loss
Coping with anniversaries and reminders
Learning how to live with loss while still engaging in life
I honor cultural, spiritual, and personal values and recognize how systemic and social factors impact mental health.
Therapy is a space for honesty, reflection, and growth. Sessions move at a pace that feels safe for you. Some days may focus on coping tools and creating stability; others may involve deeper emotional processing. Your goals and readiness guide the process.
